As a Trainee, you will undertake the qualification as required, on the job and as full-time trainee over a 12 month period. A Trainer will visit you at your place of work on a regular basis to support you through your studies. The schedule for visits will be pre-arranged to ensure there is minimal disruption to your host employer.
Training is all on the job and your host-employer, will be required to allow a minimum number of hours per week to undertake your learning needs as a trainee.
As the RTO, FBLearning will ensure the qualification and chosen units will encompass what your your host employer needs.
BSB40520 – Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

The Certificate IV Leadership & Management is a nationally recognised qualification suitable for existing supervisors, team leaders and mid level managers. Organisations now demand an increasing focus on quality, customer service, best practice and world competitive performance. This training will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in a managerial role.
Who should do this training?
This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level are likely to provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They may also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of teams.
They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

5 core units plus
7 elective units (these will be decided prior to commencement of training), of which:
- 4 elective units must be selected from Group A
- for the remaining 3 elective units:
- up to 3 units may be selected from Groups A and B
- if not listed, up to 2 units may be selected from a Certificate IV or above, from this or any other currently endorsed Training Package qualification or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

USI (Unique Student Identifier) Number; AQF level 4 criteria are required; Satisfactory completion of a LLN Assessment.

This training will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in a managerial role.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who take the first line of management in a wide range of organisational and industry contexts. They may have existing qualifications and technical skills in any given vocation or profession, yet require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. Typically they would report to a manager.
At this level frontline managers provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes.
